Leonard Apartments is conveniently located on the Northwest side of Grand Rapids. The
partnership project with the Dwelling Place of Grand Rapids and the Little River Band of
Ottawa Indians features both Grand Rapids Housing Commission and Wyoming Housing
Commission project-based vouchers available for income qualified applicants.
There are forty-eight one-bedroom apartments and seven two-bedroom apartments, all of
which are accessible, with eight able to accommodate wheelchair users. Each unit comes
equipped with an electric stove, refrigerator, microwave, washer, dryer, and expansive
storage space. The modern fixtures and appliances provide a technology ready,
comfortable environment for seniors in the prime of life.
There is an 1,100-square-foot community room available for residents to use for
community events and family gatherings. Outdoor spaces include a lower-level courtyard
and two rooftop decks on the south side of the building, connected by a bridge. Parking is
available in the onsite lot as well as on Leonard Street.
